USA celebrates Mothering Sunday in May. But in UK, it’s Mothering Sunday in March.
I mention this because for those of us with divided kith and kin, this can cause time warps. I do not get a mothering Sunday card in UK from my adult children living in USA because …. well, it’s not mothering Sunday for them. But I do not get a card when it’s mothering Sunday in USA because well… I’m not in USA and therefore it isn’t mothering Sunday for me.
Get the picture?
Never mind, a mother is a mother is a mother always. Happy Mothering Sunday where ever you celebrate it (or don’t, as the case may be). Do dogs count as children? In that case, I’m celebrating in style!
